Duties

Performs all aspects of the contracting transaction form initiation to recommendation of award for the procurement of supplies and services. Develops contracting strategy, determines completeness of purchase descriptions, researches alternatives available, compiles bidders' lists, issues solicitation documents and performs a detailed analysis of offers and bids Prepare final contracts. Negotiates prices, clarifies bids/offers with contractors, coordinates contract administration. Performs contract administration. Reviews/reconstructs procurement actions worked by subordinate staff Coordinates action with requesting activities. May serve as the contracting officer, soliciting, awarding and administering all NAF contracts.
