Duties

You will apprehend or detain individuals in accordance with regulations or laws. You will conduct investigations through record checks, interviews, surveillance, or other methods to ascertain any criminal activity You will follow law enforcement procedures or techniques to enforce laws and protect life, property, and the civil rights of individuals. You will implement standard procedures for responding to requests for services, incidents, accidents, and alarms

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Issues citations in violation of law enforcement regulations; 2) Conducts investigations related to critical incidents(i.e., traffic accidents, domestic violence, assaults, child abuse/neglect) in accordance to policies and procedures; 3) Interviews witnesses to gather information about incidents; and 4) Conducts inspections of vehicles to detect the unauthorized removal of classified material, government property, contraband, weapons, explosives or any items detrimental to security.
