You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPS) in the NORTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER (NWRMC), Code 101, of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

You will develop, maintain, and integrate work for ships projects by sequencing and scheduling all work. You will work with project personnel to solve critical problems with conflicting production requirements, PSS interface issues, plant conditions, and testing. You will establish work priorities for shipboard work, shop productions work, and technical document preparation to ensure jobs are worked in order of priorities. You will review schedules for proper technical sequence and verify proper time is allotted for testing. You will identify controlling paths and prerequisites. You will integrate all non-nuclear production, planning, and test phases into an availability schedule.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

GS 12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: scheduling and integrating production work for ship or submarine maintenance, overhaul, or repair projects, ensuring the various phases (such as: shipboard work, shop production work, technical document preparation, testing) are sequenced and prioritized to mitigate scheduling conflicts. GS 11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting in scheduling and integrating production work for ship or submarine maintenance, overhaul, or repair projects, ensuring the various phases (such as: shipboard work, shop production work, technical document preparation, testing) are sequenced and prioritized to mitigate scheduling conflicts.
