You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the MEDICAL DEPARTMENT of CDR NAVY EXPEDITIONARY COMBAT COMMAND.

Duties

You will manage and coordinate supply requirements with Group Senior Medical Department Representatives IRT input and recommendations for AMAL changes to include specific mission requirements. You will manage Class VIII accounts for medical departments, totaling over $2,000,000.00 annually. You will manage: Controlled equipage, phased replacement program, open purchase of highly specialized medical supplies and NECC rehabilitation supplies utilizing a Government Commercial Purchase Card. You will communicate, prepare, and present ILS related subjects effectively utilizing a high level of verbal and written communication skills with managers, contractors, and employees. You will define and/or recognize the dimension of problems and to collect necessary data, establish facts, and take action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines. You will attend all supply and production meetings; provide input, recommendations, and guidance to program. You will analyze customer needs and recommend economical solutions.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Incumbent must be able to lift supplies and equipment weighing 10 to 85 pounds.

Qualifications

To qualify for the LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-11, your resume must demonstrate at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: **Minimum of two years' work experience with large inventories of pharmaceutical and medical surgery equipment.** Experience utilizing an extensive logistics and warehouse background with an added medical logistics working knowledge of Class VIII supply to include but not limited to ordering, receipt, storage, stock rotation, shelf-life extension processes and shipping of supplies. Experience utilizing inventory management programs and databases with a working knowledge of logistics spreadsheets, acquisition software, receipt status and shipping of Class A supplies. Experience analyzing problems, proposing, and recommending solutions for action based upon established guidelines. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
