The position is located in the Real and Personal Property Section, of the Acquisition and Asset Management Division. If selected, you would be responsible for providing clerical and technical support for, personal property motor, and aviation fleet management. Duties include all aspects of personal property management and vehicle acquisition and tracking, management, and disposal of all owned personal property.

Duties

The duties may include, but are not limited to: Provides operational support and technical assistance to designated Regional Fleet Program Coordinators and Local Fleet Program Coordinators. Oversees the maintenance of existing Online fleet card managing accounts. Responsible for continuous accountability for fleet card charges. Screens fleet card requisitions prior to processing to determine whether requested cards have the proper hierarchy levels assigned, default account codes, and budget object codes. Responsible for all license plate issuance to the field. Updates license plate database for all new and/or replaced license plates. Reports lost or stolen license plates to the proper authorities. Manages fleet management systems to ensure all vehicle acquisitions, leases, transfers, and disposals are property recorded in the appropriate fleet systems. Issues inventory memoranda and inventories to field on a quarterly basis. Ensures that accurate inventories are maintained of all property received and distributed. Assists Accountable Property Officers with inventory management.

Requirements

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. TIME-IN-GRADE: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. FOR THE GS-08 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-07 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates: Maintaining inventory, stock, and/or property account records. Utilizing computer software for word processing (e.g. Microsoft Word), developing and maintaining spreadsheets (e.g. Microsoft Excel), and electronic mail communication (e.g. Microsoft Outlook) to analyze and compile information for composition of reports and correspondence. Performing data entry and data analysis of routine reports to identify errors, missing and incomplete data. Note: There is no education substitution for this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
