About the Position: This Health Experience Analyst position supports the Amy Health Clinic in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The hours of work are 0730-1630 with a 1-hour unpaid lunch and 2 paid 15-minute breaks.
Duties
Identify opportunities to improve patient experience.
Design, implement, and evaluate new strategies to determine level of patient satisfaction.
Work collaboratively with team members to enhance the patient experience.
Determine marketing techniques and strategies to increase awareness and satisfaction with health programs and services.
Develop advertising strategy to determine most effective and efficient method of reaching target audience.
Assist with the coordination of VIP visits to the Health clinic and official social functions hosted by the Commander.
Maintain proficient level of knowledge through review and study of pertinent regulations, directives, issuances, newsletters, and announcements pertaining to the TRICARE program.
Provide beneficiaries with information on how to obtain primary and specialty care appointments.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Meeting patients and educating them on services provided by the clinic; identifying opportunities to improve patient experience through interviews, discussions, and observations with patients; following up on concerns and resolutions; assisting patients with completing health care administrative tasks; and identifying marketing materials for distribution to increase awareness with health programs and services for patients. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Healthcare Administration/Management, Public Health Relations, Public Affairs or Marketing.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
