The primary purpose of this position is to lead three or more workers to inspect, troubleshoot and repair aircraft electrical and environmental systems, subsystems and associated equipment on test, modified and production assigned, other assigned aircraft and transient aircraft.
Duties
Leads a team of trades and/or labor workers.
Performs work. Performs nonsupervisory trades and/or labor work that is usually of the same kind and level as members of the work crew led.
Troubleshoots, modifies, repairs, and tests complex electrical systems, components, and accessories with intricate wiring systems under actual or ground power.
Sets up and operates computerized multiple circuit analyzing equipment to run established and new diagnostic programs in various test modes to test aircraft electrical circuitry and interconnecting cabling of the entire aircraft or individual systems.

- The physical requirements of this position as determined by the manager are: The work requires moderate to strenuous effort. Must climb, bend, stoop, crawl, and stand for prolonged periods on concrete or metal surfaces.
- Frequently lifts parts and equipment weighing up to 20 pounds. Occasionally may lift and carry items that weigh about 50 pounds with mechanical lifting devices or with assistance from other workers.
- Must be able to pass and maintain color vision requirement necessary to distinguish colors in wiring diagrams, panels, and/or other equipment.
- Must possess and maintain satisfactory depth perception.
- Must have extensive flightline experience maintaining F-16 or F-15 Electrical and Environmental systems (dependent on the assigned aircraft )

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-2800 Electrical Installation And Maintenance Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
