About the Position: This position is with the Directorate of Resource Management Information Management at Tripler Army Medical Center, on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii.

Duties

Responsible for maintaining the server, portal and database systems in a functional state and is responsible for resolving any database, portal errors or server problems. Develop solutions to data processing problems. Define input/output controls. Perform all aspects of website administration to include system security. Training departmental page masters and assisting users. Provide tier II support for other local system analysts and administrators. Serve as team leader/member for special projects such as the installation of new computer systems (hardware and software).

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • This position is Mission Essential. Incumbent is required to report for duty during inclement weather, natural disasters, and emergency situations and may be required to stay after the official shift ends, e.g., overtime, subject to recall to duty.
  • Position is designated "Key Position" in accordance with AR 690-8. Position shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization. Due to essential nature, position shall not be filled by Ready Reservists.
  • This position requires the employee to occasionally travel up to 10% of the time from the normal duty station. Government regulations will be followed for all official travel.
  • This position has been designated as an IAT Level II. Employee is required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for this position.
  • May be required to work overtime.
  • May be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Pre-employment physical is required.
  • Lifting and moving computer equipment weighing up to 45 pounds may be required.
  • This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the Federal Service (GS-11).
