WHAT IS THE PGLD - PRIVACY, GOVERNMENT LIAISON AND DISCLOSUREDIVISION?

Vacancies will be filled in the following specialty areas:
Privacy, Governmental Liaison and Disclosure (PGLD) Governmental Liaison, Disclosure and Safeguards (GLDS), Data Services
The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.
Distributes and balances the workload among employees in accordance with established workflow or job Specialization; assures timely accomplishment of the assigned workload; and assures that each employee has an adequate workload.
Keeps in touch with the status and progress of work, and makes day-to-day adjustments in accordance with established priorities, obtaining assistance from the supervisor on problems that may arise, such as backlogs which cannot be disposed of promptly.
Delivers on the job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices.
Maintains current knowledge of procedures, policies and directives. Answers questions and provides both classroom and OJT instruction to employees.
Amends or rejects work not meeting established standards, refers to supervisor questions and any problems that prohibit the employee from meeting performance standards.
Resolves simple, informal work related issues of employees and refers others to supervisor.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-06 LEVEL: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes experience demonstrating ability to operate equipment and controls to diagnose, adjust, repair, and operate the equipment or machine and perform preventive maintenance; experience working with the features, capabilities, and characteristics of several software applications to diagnose and solve some technical processing errors and problems. Experience should demonstrate ability to using the comprehend and apply rules, regulations, guidelines, and procedures related to the production of materials using electronic systems to operate the equipment, schedule work, and solve problems, as well as record keeping requirements to maintain records. Experience in using disclosure work processes and procedures, procedures, ability to identify the disclosure case type of incoming requests, classifying materials, or performing routine searches for materials; experience in applying disclosure regulations and other guidelines pertaining to processing disclosure casework; experience using AFOIA software, scanners, printers and other software and devices to improve the efficiency of operations; experience with the applicable operating system and experience operating related components of the High Speed Scanners and diagnose and correct scanner hardware malfunctions. Experience should demonstrate an ability to screen documents, forms, and letters addressed or routed to various offices; researches correspondence addressed to specific functional areas; screen material to determine information requested based on knowledge of an organization; identify forms or documents requiring special priority handling and treat them accordingly; receive and process incoming and outgoing registered and certified mail, and express mail shipments; Perform a variety of administrative tasks using an automated system which involves: assigning, maintaining, monitoring, or updating work status and inventory records; acknowledging correspondence; maintain and update records. Experience should demonstrate ability to comprehend and apply the rules, regulations, guidelines, and procedures related to the production of materials using electronic systems to operate the equipment, schedule work, and solve problems, as well as record keeping and maintenance requirements.
AND
MEET TIME IN GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT: You must meet applicable TIG requirements to be considered eligible. To meet TIG for positions above the GS-05 grade level, you must have served at least one year (52 weeks) at the next lower grade (or equivalent) in the normal line of progression for the position you are applying to. Advancement to positions up to GS-05 is permitted if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade held within the preceding 52 weeks.
AND
TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: By the closing date (or if this is an open continuous announcement, by the cut-off date) specified in this job announcement, current civilian employees must have completed at least 90 days of federal civilian service since their latest non-temporary appointment from a competitive referral certificate, known as time after competitive appointment. For this requirement, a competitive appointment is one where you applied to and were appointed from an announcement open to "All US Citizens".

A copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying based on education or a combination of education and experience.
