You will serve as a Equipment Specialist (Maintenance Master Data) in the Industrial Logistics Division of MRO-L at FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will maintain communication and business relationships with internal customers, as well as external entities for purposes of collaboration, to meet customer-support and sustainment requirements. You will incorporate Technical Data and provide M-Part/Router Management for those systems processed at FRC East. You will research and provide data and reports as required in order to make presentations to management or customers. You will gather and analyze data and use production maintenance knowledge to make recommendation and decisions. You will support and collaborates as a maintenance master data specialist as needed for variance analysis and time studies.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining communication with internal customers and external entities for purposes of collaboration and sustainment requirements. 2) Providing proactive support and assistance that includes logistics elements with a focus on technical data, maintenance planning & management, and design interface. 3) Analyzing maintenance supportability and readiness information for those systems processed at FRC East. 4) Supporting and collaborating as a maintenance master data specialist as needed. Knowledge of accepted Equipment Specialists practices to incorporate work measurement studies, technical data interpretation and workflow knowledge from a wide variety of sources into comprehensive routers for depot workflow. Knowledge of the activity's, policies, standards, procedures, and precedents associated with the gathering of information in order to analyze and evaluate information, interpret guidance and draw conclusions to make recommendations and mitigate or eliminate issues. Extensive knowledge of the activity's industry, work processes common to the industry and work products to evaluate a wide range of present and potential production methods, systems facilities, tools, programs, and practices. Must have a broad knowledge of organizational structure, production floor and the work units studied and their relationship with other major functions performed by the activity. Understanding of process improvement tools and ability to maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders regarding product workflow and operations. Natural curiosity to dig into issues and ask questions to fully investigate areas of opportunity and make recommendations. Willingness to spend time on the production floor and with other support groups to become fully educated on assigned shops, associated products, operations and support groups within assigned areas. Initiative to documented formal and informal training required by COMNAVAIRSYSCOM. Equipment Specialists. Must have the ability to prepare and present comprehensive studies demonstrating sufficient data analysis and excellent written and oral communication skills.
