You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the MRO PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST located at Naval Air Station Fallon, NV.

Duties

You will be responsible for the supervision, coordination, administration, planning, and work direction of a production team. You will monitor progress towards meeting the logistics plan and to identify the cause and impact of delays or other problems. You will be responsible for administration of existing rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. You will participate in the development and justification of the annual budget. You will prepare, review, and track all personnel actions, insuring they are properly prepared and necessary job elements, crediting plans and other required information are forwarded to appropriate personnel. You will approve/disapprove leave schedules, monitor sick leave usage, track training requirements, and create performance reports. You will be required to have regular and predictable attendance, which is an essential function of this position.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Ability to supervise, coordinate, plan and direct work of a production team, (2) Knowledge of logistics elements and strategies associated with aircraft maintenance operations, (3) Ability to develop comprehensive logistics plans based on funding, manpower, materials, facilities, equipment and services needed to support the program, (4) Ability to identify cause and impact of delays or other problems and adjust logistic plans accordingly, and (5) Ability to communicate effectively.
