Serves as the Johnson Space Center (JSC) Equipment Manager and the Logistics Center Business Process Lead (CBPL) within the Property, Supply, and Equipment Branch. Responsible for developing, conducting, and implementing policies and procedures required for the administration of installation accountable property at JSC and its satellite locations, and systems to support the accountability/disposition of property and supply management operations for JSC.

Duties

Identifies equipment management activities that will be involved in providing needed logistical support to JSC institutional support organizations, programs, and projects. Provides technical guidance to the Property Survey Board and JSC Security in the policies and procedures of the NASA Equipment Management Procedural Requirements. Provides technical and functional support to the Headquarters Logistics Management Division (LMD) Compensating Control Review (CCR) team during site visits. Formulates corrective actions on CCR findings to the SEMO for submittal to the CCR team. Serves as liaison between JSC Logistics and NASA Headquarters LMD in providing requested Headquarters data calls, loss summary reports and statistical data concerning Government property. Provides support, technical, and procedural guidance to White Sands Test Facility (WSTF) and JSC support contractors on equipment management of Government property. Serves as liaison to the Center Finance Property Accountant during financial analysis auditing and serves as point of contact during audits. Serves as the JSC Logistics CBPL for the Plant, Property, and Equipment (PP and E) system. Primary interface for business process improvements, training issues, and reporting requirements for the Center. Represents Equipment, Property, and Property Accounting Business Process Owners concerning changes to Agency Equipment, Property Disposal, and Property Accounting and Center business processes. Manages the Solutions, Applications, and Products, NASA DISPOSAL system, NASA EQUIPMENT system, Supply Management System, and the Logistics Business Warehouse and JSC contractors. Participates in problem identification and resolution of all issues representing Equipment and Property Accounting Business Process Owners concerning changes to Agency Center business processes. Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level: Providing technical advice and guidance on the interpretation and use of Government-owned equipment, supply, and disposal management concepts, practices, and standards; Performing JSC equipment, supply, and disposal management work for a broad range of highly complex or special property with different needs and JSC requirements; Coordinating and following JSC and NASA regulations to support supply, equipment, and disposal for customers (e.g., scheduling shipments, managing supply inventories, completing paperwork).
