Serves as a Supervisory Traffic Management Coordinator in a terminal or en route facility, responsible for ensuring that efficient and effective traffic management is maintained.
Duties
Provides first line supervision to a staff of Traffic Management Coordinators. Ensures that traffic instructions/restrictions are initiated in accordance with established procedures to maintain a safe and expeditious flow of traffic and minimize the impact of heavy flight demands. The work impacts the effectiveness and efficiency of the day-to day operations of the facility.

- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

- Security Requirement: Non-Critical Sensitive (2). This position requires completion and favorable adjudication of a background investigation prior to appointment, unless a waiver is obtained. Subject to a 5 year period reinvestigation.
- Medical Requirement: The selectee must pass a medical exam and/or maintain a medical clearance.
- Financial disclosure may be required.
- Interviews: Some, all or none of the candidates may be interviewed.
Qualifications
Candidates must show specialized experience. Specialized experience is defined as:1. Must have held an FAA 2152 FV-J/FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year (52 weeks); OR2. Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) at an Air Traffic Services (ATS) facility {NOTE: An employee who has been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility who is upgraded is considered to have met the qualification requirements of the higher-level position, since he/she has been performing the higher-graded work}; OR3. Must have held a MSS position for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility {reference NOTE above}.IN ADDITION to meeting the qualification requirements above, candidates MUST also be eligible to make application. Revision 1, "MSS Qualification Requirements for AT-2152 Terminal and En Route Positions" may be used to determine your eligibility to apply.
