This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Development Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure.

Duties

Coordinate, synchronize, and monitor assignments throughout the project life­cycle to include planning, design and engineering, acquiring, development, fielding, testing, configuration, implementation, integration, and maintenance. Support the Perimeter Defense Division in three critical areas: Acquisition, Budget/Cost Support, Logistics and Operations Support, and Program Management Support of its Gateway Programs. Identifies requirements; develops and implements project plans; coordinates and integrates project activities; manages project resources; participates in project reviews; and takes corrective actions. Defines operating criteria and monitors installation and testing to determine the quality and efficiency of communications equipment and software. Estimates project costs and submit cost estimates for related funding plans to finance and budget projects.

Qualifications

This recruitment provides promotion opportunity to target position without further competition when selectee is eligible and recommended by management. Management has the prerogative to select at any grade level. The minimum salary for grade GG-07 is $53,105, the maximum salary is $69,035. The minimum salary for grade GG-09 is $64,957, the maximum salary is $84,441. The minimum salary for grade GG-11 is $78,592, the maximum salary is $102,166. Problem Solving - identifying or selecting from a number of alternatives to address routine information technology-related issues by gathering and applying information from standard sources that provide a limited number of solutions. Education

GG-07 Substitution of Education for Experience: One full year of graduate level education or Superior Academic Achievement may be substituted to meet the qualifying experience requirement.
