About the Position: This is a permanent position with the Combined Arms Center for Training, National Simulation Center (NSC), Facilities Division located on Fort Leavenworth, KS.

Duties

Maintain stocks of various nonexpendable supplies and equipment. Manage procurement procedures, actions and processes with pertinent directives and policies. Verify incoming shipments for quantities received condition of goods, shortages and damages. Provides analysis of supply and equipment purchases. Assist in the research of supply sources for new, special or nonstandard items. Develop plans for storage and space utilization, protection and issue of materials.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• This position may require up to 10% business travel.
• Employee must have a valid State driver's license and must be able to drive a government vehicle to transport supplies and other required missions.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1. maintaining stocks such as supplies and equipment, 2. analyzing supply and equipment purchases, and 3. verifying quantities, condition of goods, shortages and damages of incoming shipments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain Management or Inventory Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
