You will serve as a IT Specialist (CUSTSPT/APPSW) of NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.

Duties
You will prepare and coordinate operating instructions relative to operation of DCPDS
You will monitor system enhancements and modifications
You will identify and correct invalidating data utilizing all means available
You will analyze products to ensure they serve the purpose intended and needs of the user
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 451 and 411 level A within 12 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Creates and processes new and existing task orders for any additional services and service modifications to support and meet the needs of end-user IT service management requirements.2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Works directly with customer organizations to customize services to meet specific customer requirements.3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Presents briefings to senior management officials on complex/controversial issues.4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Proposes solutions to work problems presented by employees.
In addition to experience demonstrating the four competencies above: your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Providing end-user IT services, to include researching and evaluating new customer service management systems; 2) Recommending new IT services and service management principles to enhance the effectiveness of the customer support program; 3) Overseeing implementation of new systems and services; 4) Developing training guides for customer support employees.
