About the Position: Oversee the work of the Directorate through subordinate division chiefs, supervisors and team leaders. Supervises the work center staff performing supply management, CRP, CIIP, warehouse and hazardous material management.

Duties

Oversee the procurement processes and controls for use of the Government Purchase Card (GPC) and internal property accountability. Supervise the work center staff performing supply management, CRP, CIIP, warehouse and hazardous material management. Assign work to subordinates based on priorities and selective considerations of the difficulty of assignments and capabilities of employees. Inspect supply processes and services throughout RIA-JMTC for conformance with policy, regulatory, and program requirements and recommends, initiates, and advises on or directs corrective actions necessary. Review and analyze the directorate short- and long-range strategic logistics planning objectives and goals. Hold discussions and meetings with key staff members as necessary to obtain pertinent details surrounding or involving problem areas; recommends options resolving issues. Oversee the Command Supply Discipline Program to include the property book officer. Provide contract oversight through assigned Contracting Officer Representatives and Quality Assurance Evaluation staff, including review, monitoring, and evaluation of contractor performance and customer service in supply and services activities.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is designated "Mission Essential."
  • In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • This position is designated as Key. The position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the mission.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
  • Required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450,(5 CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).
