Duties

Supervising and guiding five to 15 Government project execution leads in managing contracting acquisition strategies, cost, schedule, and technical performance for their projects. Interfacing with customers on branch project status and issues, and the organization’s capabilities to support future efforts, as well as securing those future efforts to deliver products and fund branch personnel. Actively participating in and supporting strategic planning and implementation within the organization, as well as setting the vision for the branch. Conducting the full range of supervisory responsibilities to include hiring and retention, time keeping, training compliance, tasker reporting, performance management, employee career development, and disciplinary procedures. Taking on special tasks, projects, and initiatives as assigned by higher-level management.

The adequacy of such background must be demonstrated by one of the following:1. Professional registration or licensure - Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico. Absent other means of qualifying under this standard, those applicants who achieved such registration by means other than written test (e.g., State grandfather or eminence provisions) are eligible only for positions that are within or closely related to the specialty field of their registration. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the specialized experience requirement listed below. Specialized Experience : To qualify for the DB-04, applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (DB-03) which includes performing the following: experience in project management of Government and Government/Contractor project teams in the execution of multiple multi-million-dollar projects simultaneously to include cost, schedule, and performance management. And/or Experience in Key specialty areas including customer interface, requirements definition, design, fabrication, and integration of electrical and/or mechanical prototyping or modifications on tactical weapon systems. Experience in technical documentation, standards, and specifications is required.
