The mission of the National Counterintelligence & Security Center is to lead and support the U.S. Government's counterintelligence (CI) and security activities critical to protecting our nation; provide CI outreach to U.S. private sector entities at risk of foreign intelligence penetration; and issue public warnings regarding intelligence threats to the U.S.
Duties
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform a comprehensive range of strategic integration initiatives related to national counterintelligence issues. Principally supporting senior leadership, provide expertise and recommendations on key strategic issues, prepare substantive talking points, and develop readaheads.
Develop and maintain a strategic level of expertise on a full range of current intelligence and policy issues of interest to customers; discuss issues and developments with internal and external peers and customers; communicate regularly with peers, customers, and ODNI components to exchange information, clarify taskings, and coordinate production.
Develop and maintain intelligence sharing relationships with internal and external partners; select intelligence items for passage to partners by utilizing thorough knowledge of foreign intelligence threats, adhering to security policies and procedures.
Oversee development and implementation of the Directorate's engagement and outreach strategy for within the U.S. Government (USG) and with external partners, including the private sector and international partners, and guide the planning and preparation for intelligence briefings and threat awareness engagements for customers within and outside of the USG.
Identify and drive ways to advance cross-directorate integration, assist directorate leadership with responses to White House and Congressional requirements, and provide oversight for execution of tasks.
Lead and support briefings to senior IC officials and other major stakeholders collaboration progress, issues and challenges.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
Expert situational judgment and interpersonal, negotiation, and networking skills to collaboratively build strong working relationships with interagency partners and customers.
Superior ability to establish regular contacts within NCSC and across the broader IC for purposes of exchanging information.
Expert analytic and critical thinking skills and ability to exercise sound judgment; ability to think strategically and remain open-minded on the basis of new information and requirements.
Expert ability to apply expert knowledge of the IC and relevant customer organizations or operations (e.g., military, policy makers, and law enforcement), in order to effectively translate their requirements and provide appropriate output or responses to meet customer needs.
Superior ability to efficiently prioritize, perform multiple tasks, and change focus quickly as demands change in a fast-paced, time constrained environment.
Superior analytical and critical thinking skills, including the superior ability to think strategically, identify needs and requirements, develop recommendations, and evaluate outcomes against goals and objectives
