You will serve as an INVESTIGATIVE ASSISTANT in the Office of the Fleet Inspector General (NO1IG), of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET.

Duties

You will perform administrative support functions to include maintaining records, reviewing and reading incoming correspondence to determine proper action and prepare outgoing correspondence. You will set up meetings and conferences and prepare travel arrangements for office personnel. You will provide Inspection and evaluation program support, audit support, and perform audit liaison program assistance. You will assist with interviews, download recordings of interviews, and processes them for transcription. You will prepare case folders for new investigation cases.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position requires the employee to have the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing administrative duties (such as coordinating or scheduling interviews; uploading data and documents into an automated system; preparing and editing correspondence; and answering inquiries) in an office environment to assist and support investigative work.
