You will serve as a SOCIAL SERVICES ASSISTANT in the MARINE AND FAMILY PROGRAMS DIVISION of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.

Duties

You will establish and maintain and extensive and current file of information on local, private, and voluntary service agencies and organizations by service. You will organize resource information to facilitate easy and quick referral and retrieval of information. You will confirms exchange of and update resources information. You will provide relocation services to include sponsorship training, updates to military installations website, facilitate PCS-OCONUS and CONUS services and settling-in services.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading training workshops with strong public speaking and non-clinical counseling skills; collecting and assembling large amounts of general information utilizing computer applications to include word processing, database generation and manipulation, internet research, graphic generation, outlook systems, spreadsheet creation; AND creating and delivering multimedia presentations. Education

NOTE: Graduate education or an internship meets the specialized experience required above GS-5 only in those instances where it is directly related to the work of the position.

One full year of graduate education meets the requirements for GS-7.

One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.
