This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA-Joint Service Provider (JP7).
Duties
Plan, organize, and direct personnel and activities of the Department of Defense Information Networks (DODIN) Inspection Program within JFHQ-DODIN. Set and adjust short term priorities and prepare schedules for completion of mission execution.
Oversee the development and delivery of innovative, efficient, and secure end-to-end inspection solutions. Assure implementation by lower and subordinate organizational units of the objectives for the program segment(s) or function(s) overseen.
Execute core functions of the inspection program and capability solutions, cybersecurity inspection criteria, systems architecture support, lifecycle management, capacity/demand management, application development, and inspection project management.
Perform staff functions in a command headquarters, component staff or equivalent major policy-making organization involved in systems life cycle functions. Serves as the functional expert in assigned functional areas.
Develop organizational policy for implementation of guidance from higher level authority and analyze advantages and disadvantages. Analyze current and future resource factors (human, physical, financial, or information) to determine effectiveness.

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain Top Secret/CS security clearance.
- This is a mission essential position. Support the 24/7 operational mission within DISA. This may require the incumbent to be in a standby or recall status in case of national emergency, mission critical systems outage, or scenario deemed appropriate,
- This may also require that the incumbent carry a pager, mobile phone, or be directly recalled to duty from a recall roster. In such cases, compensation shall be in accordance with appropriate rules and regulations.

Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-15, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: experience overseeing the development and delivery of efficient IT cybersecurity solutions; overseeing cost/benefit analysis and the development of work schedules/standards for projects; and evaluating the impacts of new technologies on current systems and policies to assess the effectiveness of new or substantially modified systems.
