About the Position: Serves as the Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist for US. Army Contracting Command (ACC)-408th Contracting Support Brigade (CSB). Responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, managing, and monitoring the contract quality assurance program and surveillance systems in support of installation contracts. This position is also being advertised for Camp Arifjan, Kuwait on Announcement # MCAD237327794286. Only one selection is available for Kuwait or Shaw location.

Duties

Serve as the technical expert advisor to the Commander, installation directors, Contracting Officer Representative (COR) on matters of contract-quality assurance and surveillance. Responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, managing and monitoring the contract quality assurance program and surveillance systems in support of installation contracts. Maintain current knowledge of directive and regulations pertaining to qualify assurance aspects pf support services acquisitions. Prepares command correspondence and fives briefings on the status of the quality program. Develop acquisition training focusing on COR duties and responsibilities that will impact contracting activities. Assist Contracting Officers and RCC’s QA's in determining contractor’s effectiveness and conformance to contractual requirements.

  • This is a Level II Production, Quality and Manufacturing Acquisition Position.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315.19.
  • Immunization screening is required.
  • This position has been designated as non-critical sensitive as defined in DoD 5200.R, and requires you to possess, or obtain and maintain for the duration of employment, a Secret security clearance.
  • This is an Emergency Essential position.
  • Successfully complete a deployment physical examination with favorable results.
  • Successfully complete a dental examination with favorable results.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. Passport.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • This is an Army Acquisition position.
  • Permanent to Permanent Movements: Statutory return rights are granted for permanent, competitive service employees within the Department of Defense. For all other Federal agencies, administrative return rights may be granted.
  • All Other Movements: Statutory return rights are not authorized. Administrative return rights may be granted.
  • One year probationary period may be required.
  • This position requires a pre-employment physical.
  • Employee must pass a medical examination and receive required immunizations for the overseas/deployed location. Prior to appointment to the position, employee will sign a statement agreeing to the E-E condition of employment.

Qualifications

You may be required as a condition of employment to take the series of anthrax vaccine immunizations to include annual boosters.
