Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As an Program Support Assistant, you will use your knowledge of and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Develops work plans, formulates recommendations for modifications of procedures, and develops oral/written presentation of findings and recommendations. Coordinates administrative tasks associated with maintaining and supporting the work performed within the organization. Prepares supportive documentation of programs' operating needs and ensures compliance with required directives. Evaluates effectiveness of organizational structure as related to respective administrative/clerical program goals and objectives.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing all of the following: - Coordinating the purchase of equipment and supplies for the office by ascertaining the needs of the staff; - Managing the appointments and meetings schedule for leadership and other senior staff members as directed; - Utilizing a financial system or procurement system and monitoring, tracking, and maintaining reports on a program's financial data; - Serving as Systems Administrator for an automated travel system, reviewing, approving and certifying all travel funds. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
