Salary: $112 015 - 145 617 per year

This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Asst Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner. Duties

As a Management Information Specialist, you will: Prepares current and historical analyses of multifamily insurance, subsidy data, etc., to be used in press releases for the Secretary, Assistant Secretary for Housing and the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Multifamily Housing Programs. Also, prepares workload program monitoring reports to be used in evaluating field office performance. Consults with senior program managers on the creation of management information systems or quality control or monitoring techniques. Designs and conducts computerized statistical analyses and keeps abreast of the latest techniques in the professional literature in an on-going effort to determine variables and procedures to be used in monitoring program performance. Initiates, designs, compiles, and retrieves field office data used in statistical analyses and reports to high-level management on Multifamily Housing's priority goals. Reviews housing publications and discusses with staff of trade organizations problems as they relate to the work of Multifamily Housing Programs.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: Specialized experience for the GS-13 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes the following: Planning segments of projects involving design, and development of management information systems; AND Providing advice and technical assistance to management on management information system applications; AND Analyzing policies, statistics and software in order to optimize business practices. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
