About the Position: Located in central New Jersey, Burlington County, Fort Dix is 72 miles southwest of New York City, 34 miles northeast of Philadelphia. Close to the Jersey shore, Fort Dix is also within short driving distance of a wide variety of leisure activities, cultural centers, museums, historical locations, fishing, hunting, boating, skiing, snowboarding, hiking locations, etc.
Duties
Responsible for receiving a variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment for cyclic calibration and repair.
Responsible collecting, compiling, and retrieving information from recurring and special reports utilizing a maintenance management systems such as Test, Measurement, Diagnostic Equipment – Integrated Maintenance Management System.
Responsible for a liaison between the activity and customers in order to provide customer reports, information and other contact as needed.
Responsible for utilizing a supply system to expedite critical repair parts for specialized and unique equipment such as: Test, Measurement, Diagnostic Equipment
Operates a motor vehicle up to a gross vehicle weight of 21000 pounds IA W traffic and safety regulations to transport electronic test equipment, materials, supplies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position has a moderate requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. The employee may lift moderately heavy objects up to 50 pounds.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience: (1) collecting, compiling, and retrieving information from recurring and special reports utilizing a maintenance management systems such as Test, Measurement, Diagnostic Equipment - Integrated Maintenance Management System (2) utilizing a supply system to expedite critical repair parts for specialized and unique equipment such as: Test, Measurement, Diagnostic Equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
