Duties

You will provide staff with direction and execution of the Command's media relations, community relations and internal information programs. You will coordinates the dissemination of information relating to organizations' programs objectives and functions to the media. You will maintains effective working relationships with news media representatives. You will responds to information requests from news media in written and oral form, often providing impromptu explanation regarding facilities and activities. You will develop campaigns or program guidelines for Regional and single service market hospitals and branch health clinics use.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Therefore, we encourage you to be clear and specific when describing your experience.Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing strategic communication activities supporting media relations, community relations and command information; Speaking to a variety of groups and participating in meetings to disseminate information concerning health care to service members and there families; Developing campaigns or programs guidelines for regional and signal service market hospitals; Implementing communication strategies to prepare informational content for promoting public awareness of an organization's mission or services; Providing strategic advice and counsel to organizational executive leaders and staff leadership, (e.g., Command and leadership team), on the use of communication tactics and strategies designed to engage relevant stakeholders, provide timely and accurate information to the public, while promoting the interest, policies and objectives; AND Planning and directing all aspects of the public affairs and marketing communications programs.
