This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) coordinates and integrates Army program requirements to optimize sustainability and ensure Army materiel life cycle sustainment is well-defined and affordable throughout the life cycle.

Duties

Serve under the broad policy and program guidance of the Division Chief, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Division, Maintenance Directorate, Army G-4, Headquarters, Department of the Army. Integrate the work of self and others, often as a member of Army and OSD integrated product teams. Interpret logistics support concepts to influence sustainability of current and future programs. Provide guidance to leadership and others involved in Army acquisition and logistics. Determine the management, resource and technical requirements needed to carry out assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position involves 51% or more of time in Direct support to Acquisition Workforce.

Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify for this position you must meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: interpreting regulatory guidance pertaining to the Defense Acquisition Process; analyzing system/product level requirements in assigned areas such as: logistics, sustainment, operational readiness, manpower, and/or cost; articulating ideas through oral presentations/briefings; and providing written reports in a clear, concise, and effective manner. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS -13).
