You will serve as an Aircraft Mechanic in the Production Trades Division, Industrial Execution Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Duties
You will install, adjust, align, troubleshoot, and perform final functional and operational tests on a variety of major aircraft systems, their assemblies, components and prototypes.
You will disassemble components/systems and determine the required repairs, reassemblies, and reinstalls on aircrafts.
You will visually check components to locate worn, dirty, or poorly adjusted parts and accessories.
You will correct problems by removing, cleaning, reinstalling, or replacing defective parts.
You will conduct pressure and obstruction tests of fuel systems and check pneudraulic/hydraulic systems after repair on aircraft.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
