As a SUPERVISORY INDUSTRIAL SECURITY SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties: As a Supervisory Industrial Security Specialist, the incumbent will directly support the Regional Mission Director to accomplish DCSA Mission initiatives pertaining to Industrial Security Field Operations.The incumbent will:

Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GG/GS-13) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Utilizing expert knowledge of all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and associated National Security Policies, Executive Orders, DoD Directives, Federal Laws, foreign affairs, and constitutional provisions; Leading, fostering commitment, influencing, motivating and challenging others; Projecting organizational requirements at all levels; Analysis methods, writing and presentation skills to complete comprehensive reports and be able to express ideas and concepts in oral and written format; Exercising resourcefulness and initiative in adapting practices, techniques or precedents to resolve problems and develop new courses of action or methods. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies: Organizational Awareness - Knows the organization's mission and functions, and how its social, political, and technological systems work and operates effectively within them; this includes the programs, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations of the organization. Security Program Management Accountabilities - Manages and oversees security implications (e.g., strategic, personnel, infrastructure, policy enforcement, emergency planning, and other resources) for a program or other area of responsibility. Problem Solving - Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; seeks/generates and evaluates alternative perspectives/solutions; makes timely/ effective recommendations, based on potential implications of findings or conclusions. Critically evaluates to identify the causes of problems, and chooses courses of action that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholders.
