Duties
Serves as the Senior Project Manager for the Vicksburg District Corps of Engineers Project Management Branch with responsibilities for the overall management, control, coordination and execution of assigned projects.
Evaluates assigned project progress by measuring performance and taking necessary corrective actions to maintain agreed upon schedule, budget, manpower, or quality.
Resolves problems or issues raised to ensure proper resolution. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining employing agencies corporate commitment to the management plan.
Participates in agency programming decisions affecting long and short range courses of action for assigned projects.
Oversees and manages subordinate employees working on various projects management activities.
Reviews workload, develops work plans, establishes internal priorities and deadlines, initiates and enforces technical standards, provides guidance and decisions, and checks work to assure technical adequacy.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
