The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the 363d ISR Wing Security Officer, providing all-encompassing (physical, personnel, information, industrial, security training, anti-terrorism/force protection) security oversight and management for the 363d ISR Wing, encompassing three Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) groups and 13 squadrons.
Duties
Serves as Wing's technical authority/focal point for all security and classification programs and initiatives.
Reviews, directs, and identifies SCI and collateral personnel and industrial security program requirements for a global Wing to support operational major and non-major intelligence reach-back missions.
Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of subordinate employees and units performing Personnel, Physical, Industrial, Information, and Anti-terrorism security functions for the 363d ISR Wing.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.

- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
- Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to SCI, other Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Special Access Programs to perform the duties of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

- This position has been designated as a Testing Designated Position. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission.
- This is a Mission Essential (ME) position performing a Mission Critical Function (MCF) which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.
- Position is designated as Key. Duties are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations. Incumbent must be removed from military recall status if alternative for filling of the position during an emergency are not available.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of Intelligence Community relationships. Knowledge of Wing level and physical security doctrine, operational methodology, and requirements within Air Force SCI programs. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review independently, analyze, and resolve difficult and complex security problems.
2. Knowledge of policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss.
3. Knowledge of the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
4. Skill to interpret a variety security program laws, directives, regulations, and guidance to assist organization in establishing and operating internal security programs.
5. Skill in applying data-gathering, analytical and evaluative techniques to identify, consider, and resolve issues or problems concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations; and the ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
