About the Position: This position is located at the 88th MDG, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. -Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. -Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Duties

Administer the day-to-day operations of the residency/clerkship programs. Advise residents/students on policies and procedures, including the onboarding process. Administer the Interview/Rotation Scheduling System for the program. Advise and consult on issues or inquiries from residents/students, faculty, staff, department chairs, and various military organizations. Develop and maintain Training Affiliation Agreements (TAAs) between Wright-Patterson Medical Center and outside medical institutions as required for resident and student rotations. Assist Program Director with developing budget(s) related to the program. Submit and track expenditures of the program(s), to include travel expenses, resident educational allowance funds, recruitment expenses, program related fees. Submit and track required Grant procurement and administration forms.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes program management experience to include scheduling; tracking of readiness training, budget and/or travel; and on-boarding new members. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as business, education, or health administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18.
