This position is located in the National Cancer Institute (NCI), Office of Management (OM), Technology Transfer Center (TTC).
Duties
Direct work through subordinate supervisors and team leads.
Provide advice and guidance to management officials and program and research staff on technology transfer, intellectual property, patenting, licensing and office operations.
Represent a technology transfer organization in meetings and on work groups, committees, or task forces.
Serve as a principle advisor to the TTC Director for general TTC operations including analyzing, planning, designing and implementing changes to improve the TTC administrative programs.

Qualifications
Minimum Education Requirement:
In order to meet the Basic Requirements for a Supervisory Technology Transfer & Patent Specialist, GS-0601, you must possess a Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree in a major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences, or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
In addition to meeting the Minimum Education Requirement, you must meet the following Qualification Requirement:
In addition to meeting the Basic Qualifications, you must demonstrate in your resume at least one year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: provide leadership, technical, and administrative direction to a technology transfer organization; propose and implement innovative technology development strategies; develop academic and industry partnerships; and implement laws, regulations, policies and procedures related to inventions, licenses, royalties or agreements for technology transfer.
