About the Position: Incumbent is expected to plan, budget, and execute the work under changing project management parameters. Plan or decide to make innovations or compromises considered risky or extreme within the context of standard guides, precedents, and techniques. Independently initiates project directives, reports, conferences, etc., and represent the organization in negotiations with the client, states, municipal authorities.
Duties
Serve as the Senior Project Manager, responsible for the overall management, coordination, control, and execution of assigned programs and projects.
Responsible and accountable for successful completion and delivery of assigned projects to customers within established costs, schedules and quality parameters.
Participate with key District personnel, in defining project goals and in preparing a project management plan for accomplishment.
Make major plans and programming decisions that affect long and short-range courses of critical action for the projects.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a driver's license in one of the 50 US states or possessions and any installation and/or DoD requirement.
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel is approximately 10%.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience performing construction planning, design, studies, and program management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
