This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Senate Office Buildings, Night Labor and Custodial Section.
Serves as the Facilities Supervisor overseeing the night force work operations and management of the night labor and cleaning forces (i.e. custodial, labor (recycling), floor care, etc.) and responds to any concerns that occur in the administration of the Senate Office Buildings (SOB).
Duties
Tour of duty for this position: Monday – Friday, third shift overnight. This is not a telework eligible position.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
If you are a Wage Grade employee at the grade 9 or below, your experience will be evaluated to determine if the experience is equivalent to the GS-9. Your experience must be reflected in your resume.
Candidates for the GS-11 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as having (3) three of the (5) four following: (experience MUST be identified in resume)
(1) Overseeing and directing the management and operations of facilities maintenance/management workforce, or a labor and cleaning workforce;
(2) Preparing budget estimates for supplies, equipment and labor costs for facilities maintenance/management workforce, or a labor and custodial workforce operations;
(3) Providing client service support by responding to questions or concerns from high-level clients with high expectations.
(4) Managing complex work requirements, work procedures and inspections ensuring materials and equipment are properly utilized and maintained.
(5) Serves as Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative for contractor-performed services.

Qualifying on Graduate Education
Education
Three (3) years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field of study related to the duties of the position can be used to qualify for the GS-11.
Special Instructions for Foreign Education:
Education completed outside of the United States must be deemed equivalent to that gained in conventional/accredited U.S. education programs to be acceptable for Federal employment.
Qualifying education from colleges and universities in foreign countries must be evaluated in terms of equivalency to that acquired in U.S. colleges and universities. Applicants educated in whole or in part of foreign countries must submit sufficient evidence, including transcripts, to an accredited private organization for an equivalency evaluation of course work and degree.
You must provide a copy of the letter containing the results of the equivalency evaluation with a course-by-course listing if selected.
