Duties
You will analyze engineering drawings and other technical data to determine the feasibility of manufacturing, repairing, or modifying parts.
You will evaluate electrical engineering designs of technical work documents to ensure regulatory compliance.
You will inspect installation facilities to identify corrective measure necessary to conserve energy and utilities.
You will evaluate contractor's documents (e.g., technical construction submittals and requests for information) for accuracy.
You will use an application software (e.g., Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software) to provide status or compile statistics.

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Applying engineering theories, principles and practices applicable to the full range of technical engineering duties concerned with the design, installation, calibration, and programming of meters used for determining proper billing of utility services; (2) Reading, gathering, assembling, analyzing, and interpreting meter data; (3) Reading and understanding engineering drawings, sketches, specifications, material lists, and job/task orders; (4) Understanding electrical utility distribution systems operation and maintenance for systems up to 34.5 kV to include the following: distribution of equipment, repair methods, troubleshooting, testing, equipment operation, voltage regulation, and terminology to identify components and their interrelationships; (5) Understanding flow, hydraulics, pumping and valve types; flow metering; flow voltage (less than 600 volt) power distribution to include the following: molded case circuit breakers, draw out circuit breakers, switchgear, disconnect switches, and wiring, electrical indicating, recording, and testing instruments to include the following: kW, kWh, VAR, volt, ampere, ohm, demand, and phase angle meters and; (6) Using MAXIMO and Microsoft Office software including Access, Excel, Word, Comprehensive Utility Information Tracking System (CIRCUITS) and Computerized Utility Billing Integrated Control (CUBIC) programs.
