You will serve as a Financial Technician in the Product Support Analysis Division, Program & Business Analysis Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will process Incoming Funding Documents, Outgoing Funding Documents, PID/PR's, DAR-Q, etc. You will create reports in Excel ranging from simple to complex and perform some contract administration, i.e. tracking costs, etc. You will work with various funding types including: RDTE, APN, OMN, and Production Overhead. You will provide financial support and recommendations with little oversight and direction.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for STRL jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower pay band. This requirement is called time-in-band. Time-in-band requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

DG-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band (DG-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Utilizing MS Excel, MS Word and Power Point to create financial reports for an organization; 2) Facilitating financial transaction processing, validating expenses, and processing/reviewing transactions in accounting system; 3) Reconciling accounts, reviewing financial data, and/or making recommendations for financial data corrections. DG-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band (DG-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Utilizing MS excel, MS word and Power Point to create financial reports for an organization; 2) Providing entry level administrative or financial support in a business in baking environment; 3) Performing data entry, record review, and mathematical calculations for an organization. In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

For DG-03:
Successful completion of at least four full academic years of education above high school

OR

A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience
