This position is at the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) in the Eastern Region. This position serves as a Supervisory Credit Union Examiner.

Duties

RELOCATION STATEMENT: Relocation expenses are authorized for NCUA lateral move and NCUA promotion eligible candidates who relocate to Alexandria, VA in accordance with agency policy. As a Supervisory Credit Union Examiner, you will: Supervise the activities of a group of geographically dispersed credit union examiners. Interpret and apply credit union laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures to specific issues. Review examination reports prepared by assigned staff for technical problem areas. Identify employee training needs and development and ensure that resources are made available for development and training needs. Conduct program evaluations to ensure consistent application of policy guidance, practices, procedures, and examination priorities.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is the experience that has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. All applicants applying for the CU-14 level must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-13 level obtained in the private or public sector. Specialized experience for the CU-14 level of this position is defined as experience: 1) Conducting financial institution examinations by applying appropriate laws, regulations, and standards; and 2) Reviewing, leading teams, or providing feedback on other financial institution examiners concerning examination procedures; and 3) Managing conflicting priorities with established deadlines. All applicants applying for the CU-15 level must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-14 level obtained in the private or public sector. Specialized experience for the CU-15 level of this position is defined as experience: 1) Performing one of the following activities: Reviewing the quality of financial institution examinations; or Examining complex or troubled financial institutions; or Writing supervisory guidance for financial institution related issues at the national level; AND experience: 2) Reviewing, leading teams, or providing feedback on other financial institution examiners concerning examining procedures; and 3) Ensuring that organizational work products are completed within established deadlines.
