Duties

You will be responsible for preparation of engineering data for frequency, telecommunications, and other Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) matters. You will analyze technical data of communication systems based upon knowledge of radio equipment and radio propagation, initiate and direct actions at the National or International level. You will serve as a technical authority responsible for communicating the frequency assignment process to all levels of command, both orally and in writing. You will identify expertise needed for and recommend agency employees and contractors to work on a project team of professional and technical specialists.

  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Completed Interservice Radio Frequency Management School (IRFMS) or equivalent Electromagnetic Spectrum Managers Course Knowledge of radio frequency Management at National and (or) International level Background in preparing engineering data for frequency, telecommunications, and other electronic matters Mastery knowledge of radio equipment and radio propagation Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: Telecommunications Series 0391 (opm.gov) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
