Duties
You will formulate plans, implements techniques and develops a broad base of strategies and procedures necessary to successfully conduct the natural resources conservation and management process.
You will provide advice on management of terrestrial and marine natural resources, threatened and endangered species at meetings and negotiations.
You will provide and receives technical assistance as required on terrestrial and marine habitat, threatened, endangered and invasive non-native terrestrial species management.
You will prepare appropriate environmental documentation in narrative and graphic form to meet applicable Federal and local environmental regulations.
You will act as the primary point of contact for all terrestrial and marine natural resource management on the installation.
You will review and and coordinate document preparation, implementation and maintenance of environmental assessment (EA) and other applicable
natural resources and environmental planning documents.
You will use computer software such as information management programs, Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), mapping graphics.
You will develop and implement Ungulate Management Plan (UMP) and provides control strategies and recommends a course of action.
You will coordinate officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolves significant problems that arise.
You will participate special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments and identify the need for special projects and initiates milestones and goals.
You will research and determines or recommends appropriate actions or interpretation of issues that impact organization, installation, command, or agency.
You will develop briefing packages and a variety of related reports and directs preparation of responses to congressional inquiries, audit reports, inspection reports, press releases and public concerns.
You will assist with the development and execution of the conservation resource program budget, and preparation of planning, programming, and budgeting system (PPBS) documentation in support of environmental planning.
You will ensure that programs are executed within financial guidelines and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
- May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.

- The incumbent must possess or be able to obtain accuracy qualification documentation to use air pellet rifle and bow tackle.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: implementing Federal and local environmental statutes, regulations, permitting requirements for natural resources conservation; and overseeing natural resource programs operations and environmental contracts.

Degree: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
