Duties

You will be responsible for coordinating with and supporting the Senior Financial Manager coordinate with multiple senior level Deputy Commandant’s Staffs in order to provide budgetary guidance and support their funding execution. You will be required to know the funding requirements of all Level 4 execution subordinate to HQC and support and assist the Senior Financial Management Analyst and Budget Officer in finding funding solutions. You will meet OSD execution metrics in accordance with the financial management regulations, via the creation of phasing plans, projection plans, budget requests, and execute funds distributions. You will be required to discuss programs, attend briefs and conduct analysis of classified and secret level topics with members of the various organizations. You will assume the roles and responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst or Budget Officer as directed by the Comptroller.

• This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
• This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: systems of budget administration, formulation of budget and estimates, support plans, representing and defending budget estimates, reviewing and evaluating budget requests, and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
