If selected, you will service as an Assistant District Manager (Resources) located within the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Oregon State Office, Prineville District's Division of Resources.
Duties
The Assistant District Manager for Resources' primary responsibility for the leadership, supervision of Zoned Resources, coordination, and evaluation of both professional and technical staff including, but not limited to, timber management, forest inventory and silviculture, wildlife management, botany, fisheries management, soils management, hydrology, cultural resources management, realty, recreation, geology/mining/minerals, fuels, hazardous materials, and water rights.
As a key member of the District Manager's staff, this position is responsible for advice on BLM policy, procedures, and regulations, and evaluations of District resources management programs and budget tracking and submissions.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing the following:(1) interpreting laws, regulations, policies and procedures governing the administration and management of public lands and renewable and non-renewable resources; (2) applying leadership principles and techniques to effectively motivate, train, and supervise subordinates; (3) preparing and/or executing a budget for short term and long term strategic workforce planning; and (4) planning and/or administering resource programs in a multi-resource environment involving the management of public lands.
TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
