THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a Supply Systems Analyst, Position Description Number PDT5292000 and is part of the Headquarters, ARNG Training Site, Camp Edwards, National Guard. Duties
1. Utilizes an extensive knowledge of supply programs/operations and a thorough understanding of automated systems to manage projects and programs for systems integration of CSS automation. Ensures software/interim change packages (SCP/ICP) are applied in proper order. Coordinates and communicates with Department of Army (DA) and National Guard Bureau (NGB) regarding CSS operations and automated systems support. Assists functional users in automated CSS systems management and operation. (25%)
2. Analyzes automated CSS system operations, and requirements; and as appropriate, develops systems problem reports and/or change proposals. Receives, reviews, consolidates and accounts for systems problem reports and engineer change proposals from supported units/activities and ensures subsequent distribution to NGB. Manages the receipt, review, validation, distribution and implementation of all CSS software. Installs, tests, and evaluates CSS software. Oversees the CSS resource library and the retrieval and disposal of CSS software. (25%)
3. Analyzes requirements and manages and coordinates CSS automation hardware systems and peripherals pertaining to the receipt, distribution, installation and replacement of systems. Installs, tests and evaluates CSS systems hardware. Manages the state CSS automation float hardware and ensures the accountability of exchanges. Performs organizational level automation hardware maintenance and selected direct support (OS) maintenance as appropriate. Determines systemic problems during the maintenance of hardware or in the application of software and initiates corrective action as needed. (20%)
4. Provides user-level assistance on supply/CSS operations and automated systems utilization. Performs troubleshooting of automated CSS operations and resolves operator problems as identified. Coordinates and administers training programs for new and established CSS systems. As appropriate, provides technical assistance to functional users for installation, start-up, and operation of CSS computer systems and applications programs. (15%)
5. Assists units/activities with CSS automation continuity of operations plan (COOP), development, and execution. Monitors the state automated CSS systems network and performs fault isolation, problem resolution, and performance reporting. (15%)

Qualifications
This is a Temporary appointment, with a length to be determined by the needs of the agency. Temporary appointment will not exceed two years.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Open to all current and former members of the Massachusetts National Guard (former members must provide documentation showing membership in the Massachusetts National Guard such as an NGB 22 or DD214).
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 1-year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc. Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment. Knowledge of supply functions, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures. Experience in cost estimates, budgets, or funding management. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support. Experience requiring person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of months/years.
