The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the senior ACC authority on all matters pertaining to the Specialist for the Primary Prevention of Violence Program with responsibility for providing command policy expertise, guidance and advice to the Air Force, ACC and installation leadership as well as Specialists for the Primary Prevention of Violence assigned.

Provides advisory and technical guidance for all violence-related primary prevention education and training for the command's area of responsibility in areas such as sexual assault, sexual harassment, domestic violence, workplace violence, bullying, suicide and alcohol abuse/misuse prevention.
DUTIES
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the activities of the ACC Interpersonal and Self-directed Violence Prevention (ISDVP) Program, ensuring legal and regulatory requirements as well as the needs of the ACC Airmen, families and communities are met, while complying with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Directs activities of command violence related primary prevention program.
As the MAJCOM Subject Matter Expert, enhances the command's SPPV initiatives.
Acquires communications, automated feedback mechanisms and computer systems to collect, transmit, analyze, portray, and integrate cross-functional, programmatic, and organizational information.

- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a behavioral, social science, or related discipline appropriate to this position is preferred. (*See OPM basic qualifications standards annotated under Classification Remarks.)
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Professional and Scientific Positions, 101 Series.
BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Degree: Behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
or
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
or
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes planning, organizing and directing activities of a violence prevention program. Identifying, researching and advising higher-level leadership on issues affecting the readiness of the force and quality of life of its members. Coordinating with other units, agencies, etc., to ensure prevention programs are integrated and addressed throughout the organization. Working with others to promote and link various military and non-military resources to improve access to a variety of helping agencies and guides a network of programs and services with a focus toward reducing violence for Airmen and family members.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Comprehensive and professional knowledge of laws, regulation, and policies as well as social science principles, concepts and techniques used to evaluate and determine the requirements for violence-related primary prevention.
Knowledge of principles and techniques of social compact system design to analyze and make recommendations with regard to education and training program objectives, policies, delivery systems and resources to improve ACC accessibility, responsiveness and relevance to the command mission and the needs of its members.
Working knowledge of the budget and cost analysis process, and knowledge of program planning and budgeting cycles in support of SPPV program requirements.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, applying knowledge of current automation technology for both military and civilian personnel, to include developing and making presentations before groups.
Ability to formulate and conduct assessments and evaluations to implement primary prevention plans and apply facilitation skills to specialists in the ACC AOR; to analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations to senior leadership.
Ability to identify individual and community risk and protective factors, research, analyze, interpret and apply rules, regulations, and procedures in order to determine needed primary prevention approach to appropriately advise installations to effectively meet the needs of the installation.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
