You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SPECIAL SECURITY OFFICE (N01SSO) of COMNAVSPECWARDEVGRU.
Duties
You will ensure all NSWDG personnel are properly cleared to handle information as required by their duties.
You will coordinate all actions with subordinate echelon commands and recommends action to be taken when derogatory information surfaces on individuals with access to classified information.
You will ensure visitors are promptly and properly registered and escorted to offices.
You will ensure proper classification, declassification, and protection of classified national defense and other sensitive information originated or controlled by NSWDG.
You will maintain security of NSWDG collateral, SCI, and Special Access Program (SAP) compartmented areas, SCI facilities (SCIFs), and Tactical SCIFs (TSCIFs).
You will provide unique training for NSWDG personnel for specialized programs specific to the command.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain the Security Fundamental Professional certification within 2 years of appointment into the position.
Qualifications
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing, tracking, or reporting security violations, infractions, to determine cause and damage to national security following established procedures and guidelines; AND facilitating security programs in the areas of Classification Management, Information Security, Operations Security or Personnel Security.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: initiating and managing a security program within a complex organization and providing broad security support to program/project managers.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-11:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
