About the Position: This is a permanent position for a Readiness & Training Specialist located on Ft. Knox, KY.

Duties

Directs research and analysis of the 1st Theater Sustainment Command (1st TSC) unit readiness status. Directs and coordinates Units Status Reports (USR) submission from all 1st TSC units. Prepares training guidance and plans training for Expeditionary Sustainment Commands and Sustainment Brigades and facilitates command inspections to ensure the readiness of all units. Represents the exercise support team at exercise planning conferences and exercise surveys. Oversees and prepares exercise directives and exercise support plans and manages the Readiness and Training Calendar for assigned units.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Secret security clearance required.
  • Drug testing required.
  • Temporary duty travel (TDY) up to 25% required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a no-fee Special Issuance Passport and associated VISA.
  • Rotating shifts required.
  • Eligible for situational telework only and at management discretion.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of the work performed at the next lower level (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Organizational AwarenessPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical CompetenceWeb Technology Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
