Duties
Site Supervisor-implements reverse logistics solutions;
Plans efficient, cost-effective flow of spare materials, inprocess inventory, and related information from the point when property is declared as excess, to the point of disposition to recapture value or ensure compliant disposal.
Advises and guides agencies and/or holding activities on the interpretation and use of disposal policies.
Collaborates closely with customers to determine short and long-term requirements, as well as develop, execute and continually refine those specific customer needs.
Evaluates and recommends actions to accommodate unique constraints, concerns or desires of various Military Commands or customers.
Prepares or demonstrates capabilities of newly automated disposal methods, operational processes and techniques.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Property Disposal Specialist your resume and supporting documentation must support:
One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Disposal of property through reutilization, transfer, donation, sales, abandonment and/or destruction or removal via service contract.
Utilizes on-line systems to gather analytical data and monitor supplies/services provided to customers, validating that established customer support goals are met; noted areas for improvement.
Analyzes business-based performance measures and develops new solutions and recommendations to enhance services
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
