The incumbent works closely with the all BO management including the assistant Chief and Chief of BO on assigned tasks and projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the programs aligned to the Business Office.
Duties
The incumbent is responsible for creating and running different types of reports which the incumbent creates. The incumbent performs analysis on the reports and is responsible for correcting or making adjustment in the data collection when the results do not yield the needed information. Main duties consist of the following:
Performs typing, filing, tracking of documents through different offices; uses word processing software and equipment. May be assigned copy editing tasks related to Business office program materials (and other training program materials).
The incumbent is responsible for creating and running different types of report which the incumbent creates.
The incumbent develops, implements, and maintains a tracking system for trainee evaluations of staff and staff evaluations of trainees.
Data must be collected, managed, statically analyzed, and presented to Training Directors.
Receives and relays incoming and outgoing telephone, in person, and electronic messages related to specific programs, screens items to be handled personally and forwards to appropriate persons for action.
Independently drafts responses to routine requests for information.
Prepares correspondence, reports, and records in final form from rough drafts provided by professional staff, while ensuring correct editing and required formats.
The incumbent is responsible for compiling data, preparing reports and distributing the repost to the appropriate staff.
The incumbent is responsible for compiling and distributing reports on proposed programs, budget , staff levels and performance criteria to operating officials for review and comment as instructed or by standing order.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 0730-1600 or 0800-1630

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 12/18/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-7 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-6 must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
In addition to meeting the time-in-grade requirement, applicants must meet the following specialize experience:
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization
GS-07 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: Processing correspondence, memorandums, suspenses, and other forms of written communication to ensure appropriate and timely routing and grammatical correctness; maintaining appointments and calendars, to include resolution of calendar conflicts, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings as requested; scheduling travel arrangements; coordinating purchase of office supplies and equipment to meet the organization's needs. Physical Requirements: The majority of work is performed in an office setting with adequate light, heat, and ventilation. Typical office setting, subject to noise caused by multiple visits by staff, equipment and telephone interruptions when performing various functions on a daily basis. Work is mostly sedentary; however does require standing, ambulation, bending, lifting of objects less than 25 pounds, and pushing of carts.
