About the position: This position is located at the Fort Dix Child Development Center.

Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds (and heavier with assistance).
• Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment physical.
• This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain current record of immunization.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• The incumbent must have a valid driver's license.

Qualifying Experience: Requires knowledge of standard surface preparation and painting methods and techniques; knowledge of standard plumbing methods and techniques; and a working knowledge of wood working techniques and basic shop mathematics. Requires skill in the operations of the various tools used in the crafts involved.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
